With awareness of the inter-being of all living and non-living things, i together we create our society, we are the ones who benefit most. We will be able to live in a community that is civilized, beautiful, and safe.

No other development is as long-lasting as the development of our quality as people through education. Many developed countries invest large amounts to improve the quality of their people. When time passes, that focus joyfully gives great returns in a small country that lacks natural resources like Singapore. A country that was devastated by war, like Japan, made great leaps that turned it into a country with superior economy and quality of life.

On the contrary, Thailand is rich in natural resources and lovely people. Yet it repeatedly suffers economic and political crises. Experts from numerous countries analyze these national problems as a defect in education, not yet effectively addressed. With the additional problem of misspending of money by the Thai government on a nationwide basis, education in Thailand remains in need.

In remote and needy areas in the agricultural section, sending a child to school is a waste because the family has to sacrifice much needed labor. Due to lack of government support to buy uniforms, books, and other school supplies, many children leave the school system – some voluntarily and some under family pressure. This leads to a shortfall in education and is one of the major causes of many social problems. In order to contribute to creating a better society, the Ocean of Wisdom Foundation was founded to fill the gap in improving quality of life and to fulfill the dream of educationally disadvantaged students.

The Ocean of Wisdom Foundation differs from others as follows:
1.) Minimally complicated procedures to enable donations to fully reach the children's saving accounts, as opposed to many foundations that spent 30% - 50% of the donation on administration and marketing. On top of the overhead cost, some foundations use the donations on many projects that only 14% of the donated amount reaches the students.

2.) The target schools are in remote areas. Initially two schools in Chiang Mai have been selected based on the needs of the students and the teachers and management team that are determined to utilize every Baht for the students' education and quality of life. The money will not at all be accessed by the students' parents.

After three years of operation, the Ocean of Wisdom Foundation now expanded help to students in other provinces of Thailand. We carefully select each student based on his or her performance at school, or based on their loss of parents by accidents or diseases such as HIV/AIDS.

3.) The surrogates can directly contact the students by writing or calling them. As pen pals, you will exchange experience and learn about each others' lives. Through this both sides will experience different cultures and ways of life. The widening experience will enable everyone involved to grow rich in creating a caring atmosphere.
